カヤックでラッコを見に行く – Elkhorn Slough その２

その１からの続き

カヤックのレンタル時間は4時間。大体2時間ほど撮影してから引き返す。移動に徹すれば観察ボートと同じくらい奥まで進めそう。今回は近場でラッコのグループが複数、観察できたので遠くに行かずに済んだ。

以上、無事に転覆せずに撮影できた。基本的に不安定さは感じないが、重心がずれると急にグラリとくるので、過信は禁物。水没で機材を失いたくはないですからね。

オールで漕ぐと思ったより水が体、特に手足にかかってくる。湾内は塩水。カメラやレンズを濡らさない注意と、使用後の手入れも忘れないようにしたい。
