マナヅル / White-necked Crane
I was told that two White-necked Cranes had flown in, so I went to see them.
Although I was able to quickly spot them foraging in a reclaimed rice paddy, I was unable to get a sharp shot due to the extremely fluctuating atmospheric conditions in the morning. Nevertheless, I was lucky enough to capture them in flight.
The shooting conditions in the morning were not good, so I tried again in the afternoon.
As I was shooting from inside the car, the birds gradually came closer to me. As the sun went down, the shimmering of the sun’s rays dissipated and the image became more pleasing.
After a while, they go into a resting mode, perhaps tired or satisfied with their search for food.
One bird on the left is resting normally, while the other sometimes takes a unique pose of tilting its head. I wonder what it means.
At the end, the two birds are in a friendly resting mode.
