鳴き声の正体 / Who’s Making That Sound?

Every day, I hear a strange call around the house. As I was getting out of the car after returning home, that voice came from the side.

So it was you! There are usually about three American Crows in front of the house, but apparently there was a fledgling I hadn’t noticed.

It’s getting something from its parent.

The energy is relentless. The parent seems a bit overwhelmed. The red inside of the mouth is a characteristic of juveniles, just like with Japanese crows.

I wondered what they were feeding it, and it turned out to be butter. I’ve heard that crows love mayonnaise, so they must be crazy about fat.

Another one dashes over. The urgency is intense.
