The birds that gather in front of my house. More precisely, there’s a row of bottlebrush trees next to the house bordering the park, where hummingbirds and others are always buzzing around. It’s a perfect spot for morning-light photography — though I have to be a bit careful since pointing the lens that way often means aiming toward someone’s house.

I also made a GIF animation of the hovering — it’s even peeing midway through. It’s said that a hummingbird’s wings can beat up to 80 times per second. The GIF may look as if it were captured with a high-speed camera, but since my camera shoots at 20 frames per second, it actually captures only one out of every few wingbeats.
