鷹の渡り / Hawk migration
I came to Yamaguchi City to observe migratory birds for the second time this season. While I had some business to attend to, I missed the festival of about 1,000 birds a day. I wondered how many would come.
A Grey-faced Buzzard-eagle passed relatively close to us. As I had feared, the peak of their migration had passed, and this was the best I could do for a photo.

Then there are many Honey Buzzards.

A very battered male Honey Buzzard.

The Honey Buzzard was being chased around by a falcon.

In the end, by the time I pulled away, about 100 birds were seen in the morning and 297, including in the afternoon. Regardless of the photographic results, we had a good time.
