Photographing Pigeon Guillemots at Pigeon Point
About a 30-minute drive from Half Moon Bay, there is a lighthouse called Pigeon Point. It is also close to Año Nuevo, where Northern Elephant Seals can be seen. I visited the area partly to scout it out for landscape photography.
Incidentally, the Pigeon Guillemot has nothing to do with the name Pigeon Point. The latter apparently got its name from an old shipwreck.
