While walking, I spotted what was clearly a fairly large feline crossing the trail.
I quickly took a photo, but couldn’t capture its entire body in time.However, its distinctive short tail with black markings confirmed that it was a Bobcat.Red-shouldered HawkTownsend’s WarblerAt first, I thought it might be a Brown Creeper, but it turned out to be a Pygmy Nuthatch, a species I had never seen before.Carefully working its way around the tree in search of food.Chestnut-backed Chickadee
