虫が好きなサンショウクイ / Insect-loving Ashy Minivet
I came to try again to look for Ashy Minivet, as the male may have also come.
This is a female. She often eats this green insect.
The moment of eating. It seems that they use their tongues like chameleons to swallow food. Whether or not they are really sticking to the food with their tongues is not clear unless you use a high-speed camera.
I was able to capture the image so crisply that even individual feathers were resolved, but unfortunately, the sky color was dull.
This one is also eating a green insect.
There was also a Narcissus Flycatcher.
A flock of Ashy Minivets crossing in a group. It is difficult to tell them apart from the flight photos, but there were no males to be seen today either. My fellow birders who were with me also did not see any. I wonder what is going on.
