サンコウチョウとアオゲラ / Japanese Paradise Flycatcher and Japanese Green Woodpecker
I finally got to see a Japanese Paradise Flycatcher for the first time. The female was holding her eggs in the middle of an intricate ivy that I could easily lose sight of if I took my eyes off her for a moment. I want to wait quietly for the chicks to hatch.
A Japanese Green Woodpecker seems to be holding its eggs in its nest hole. It makes a warning cry when it is nearby, so I decided not to stay too long and wait for a while.
