ロマネスコ / Romanesco
I bought a romanesco because it was unusually available at the direct sales market. It is an interesting vegetable with a fractal shape that reproduces the same pattern even when the scale is changed. A member of the cauliflower family, it tastes sweet and delicious when lightly boiled or steamed.
Before eating it, let me take a macro shot of this striking appearance. The photo was taken on a table using natural light from a window and supplemental light from an LED for photography.
I was so absorbed in macro photography that I forgot to take a picture of the whole thing.
It was very tasty. I like it better than cauliflower.
