ルリビタキ / Red-flanked Bluetail

I have not been very active since the beginning of this year due to rain and other things to do on the weekends. I came to the Akiyoshidai area after hearing information about Japanese Waxwings and other birds. Unfortunately, no Japanese Waxwing came out.

A male Red-flanked bluetail that appeared first thing in the morning.

Not as much as the previous post, but an individual that is not so afraid of people.

It was a morning with a lot of clouds, but the sun came out at a nice time. I was happy to be able to capture the beautifully shining backside.

This individual also has a grayish tinge to it, and it is not easy to find a bright blue one.

The eyes are in focus as per the theory. However, I prefer the above cut where the back is clear.
