I drove about 15 minutes north from Half Moon Bay to visit the JV Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. Following the previous trip, I wanted to see if I could spot a loon, and there’s also a known seal observation point here.

Along the coast of this park, there is a grove of Monterey Cypress. This seems to be what the area is best known for. Although these trees are not naturally occurring here, the towering grove is quite impressive. One group was even holding a portrait photography session.

While fiddling with the wing, it accidentally knocked it off the cliff. Looking a bit embarrassed, it glanced around before flying down after it.
