蓮田のコチドリ / Little Ringed Plover in lotus field

I came to the lotus fields in Iwakuni city, Yamaguchi in search of shorebirds. I was able to find a few, but the birds were usually at the furthest point from the road, so the results were not good from a photographic point of view. The only one I was able to observe at a good distance was a Little Ringed Plover.

A Little Ringed Plover walks quickly on the narrow footpath between lotus fields.

It found something. Not an insect, but a plant root or something.

Move like a ninja by keeping the body low.

In the middle of moving around restlessly, It finally stopped in a good position.
